ปราสาทคือปัญญา
ความประมาทนั้นสามารถบรรเทาได้ด้วยความไม่ประมาท คือค่อยๆ ถ่ายถอนความประมาทออกทีละน้อย แล้วเพิ่มพูนความไม่ประมาทเข้าไปแทนที่ เหมือนถ่ายเทน้ำเก่าอันขุ่นออกแล้วใส่น้ำใหม่ที่ใสสะอาดเข้าไป พยายามรักษาความไม่ประมาทที่ทำได้แล้วมิให้เสื่อมลงไปอีก กีดกันความประมาทที่ห่างไปแล้วมิให้เข้ามาอีก ดวงใจที่ห่างจากความประมาท อยู่ด้วยความไม่ประมาท มีสติระวังรอบคอบ ย่อมก่อให้เกิดปัญญา ปัญญานั้นว่องไว คล่องแคล่ว ปัญญานั้นสูงส่งดุจปราสาท กล่าวคือ ทิพยจักษุอันบริสุทธิ์ สามารถเห็นสัตว์ทั้งหลายผู้เคลื่อนจากภพอยู่ (จุติ) และเกิดอยู่ (ปฏิสนธิ) เหมือนคนยืนอยู่บนปราสาท มองลงมาเห็นคนยืนอยู่เบื้องล่างรอบๆ ปราสาท อนึ่ง เมื่อคนทั้งหลายเศร้าโศกอยู่ เพราะพลัดพรากจากสิ่งอันเป็นที่รักบ้าง เพราะพบกับความเสื่อมจากญาติจากโภคะบ้าง เพราะประจวบกับสิ่งอันไม่เป็นที่รักบ้าง บัณฑิตย่อมไม่เศร้าโศก เพราะได้มองเห็นความจริงเสียแล้ว มองเห็นความสุขและความทุกข์อย่างโลกๆ โดยความเป็นของเสมอกันคือ ไม่เที่ยง เป็นทุกข์ และไม่มีตัวตน มีแต่กระแสอันไหลเชี่ยวแห่งกลุ่มธรรมอันหนึ่ง นักปราชญ์เช่นนั้นย่อมมองเห็นคนพาลเป็นผู้น่าสังเวช สงสารเหมือนผู้ยืนอยู่บนภูเขามองเห็นคนยืนอยู่ที่เชิงเขา
